    • RHExcelion says:

Leave a comment here and we’ll laugh at the person responsible.

      • Mikayasha says:

Ok well I just thought I’d point out that at 11:50 of Kuroshitsuji II Episode 9 Ciel is saying chi-chigau, instead of just strait chi. So the subs should be somewhere along the lines of “N-no… this is Sabastian’s…” instead of the odd line of “Blood… this is Sabastian’s…”
        Thank you for reading.

  13. Ashall says:

    Dear Commie subs staff.
About Last Exile ~ Fam subs.

The pirate groups name is the german Kartoffel (Potato) (Other groups naming being Zwiebel (Onion) and the like).

They used german words for vegetables.

    Good job nontheless.

  21. Jake says:

Hi. Just donated and said I liked Tiger and Bunny. I meant I like Usagi Drop.

    That is all.

  22. master says:

Holy shit, the translation is the bomb! This is wonderful work. Thankssss.

So are you done with this project, not putting this into video format? I was thinking of integrating this into a video and put it up for other Noe fans to watch/read. You guys cool with that?

A healthy donation is coming your way soon. Thanks a bunch again.

    • RHExcelion says:

Give us what you have in mind for the video. (Visuals, picture(s) to use, etc)

      • master says:

Howdy. Been busy with stuff, but I will get back to you on the images in February. Basically just want a slideshow as the video.

I see my bro (Ghost_Zephyr) been doing a decent job for u guys.

Also as a token of goodwill, I donated $27.90. More will come after the video is done.

        • master says:

Can you send the aegisub file that you have to my bro (Ghost-Zephyr)? Assuming you made one and had the timings done based on the audio I gave you.

I think I’ll edit some of the sentences if that’s alright with you.

          • timer who was assigned to timing this but refused to because the audio quality was crap says:

Do you still have the MP3 file? If you could upload it somewhere, that’d be great.

Because I really can’t time with just that mkv’s audio. It hurts my ears.

  23. someone says:

just wondering whether you can handle this season or not since you take so many shows this season

  24. anonymous says:

Can you please not use the tracker udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com in my place it seems that I can’t get the torrent to download with that tracker

    You can use http://open.nyaatorrents.info

Or is there any way to use that tracker without telling you? I can’t understand advance torrent.

  25. Ruri says:

I have a question — what file type, not sure if wording this right, that you’re using to do the video work for Persona 4? Because I can watch TIGER&BUNNY episodes fine, but Persona 4 comes out in green screen of death with just able to hear the audio. Could you point me in the direction of what I need to upload to be able to watch those episodes?

  26. Blue says:

I’m having serious problems watching Black Rock Shooter (TV Anime) in any media player.
When I watch it on VLC it just shows a Green screen with subtitles and when I watch it in Divx it shows the video but has not subtitles. I have fully updated my CCCP to 2011-11-11 and everything is there anything I’m doing wrong?

  27. David says:

    Hello everybody,

For a research project at my university, I’m trying to find out to what extent fansubbing has influenced the professional subtitling industry. I hope some of you could answer some questions for me. Thank you in advance!

How do you see the ethical and legal side of fansubbing?

Is there cooperation between fansubbers and professionals?

Do you offer any support for the anime companies?

Do you see them as enemies or friends?

Do you know of anyone who started doing fansubs and ended up finding a career as professional subtitler?

What is your motivation to provide fansubs?

    • RHExcelion says:

      1. As far as the copyright industry’s concerned the entire internet is illegal. We don’t really care/question the legality of what we do.

      2. No, unless ripping “professional” scripts to use counts. All “professionals” are former/current fansubbers anyway.

      3. Not at all. I don’t speak Japanese. They haven’t attempted to contact us. I don’t think they believe we exist.

      4. Neither. If they didn’t exist we wouldn’t exist and if we were friends we wouldn’t be doing what we’re doing.

      5. Yes. Every “professional” subber is a former/current fansubber.

      6. The fact that if we left the scene, everyone would be stuck with inferiority.

    • torchlight says:

Doing this because even if RHE’s views represent the group, they don’t necessarily represent the group members’ views. Then again it might just be me being an autist.

      >How do you see the ethical and legal side of fansubbing?
Fansubbing stopped being “ethical” since before I started it, and has been illegal ever since copyright existed (i.e. had always been). Older fansubbers used to have the excuse that what they were doing was free advertisement, but with free legal webcasts now (CR, TAN, Funimation, Niconico/NND, etc.) this is kinda moot.

      >Is there cooperation between fansubbers and professionals?
As RHE mentioned, quite a few “professionals” are ex-fansubbers, and it’s natural fansubbers (in general) would have at least some connections to them. I’m not sure how much cooperation goes on though; in Commie all we do is rip their scripts.

      >Do you offer any support for the anime companies?
Some of us buy figurines, if that counts. BDs/DVDs too, but much more rarely since they’re so easily available (through Japanese p2p networks).

      >Do you see them as enemies or friends?
Generally fansub groups can be divided into two kinds: the kind that rips subs from CR/TAN/wherever (e.g. us), and the kind that’d translate by themselves even though simulcasts exist (e.g. Doki). Fansubbers of the former type welcome simulcast streaming, since professional subs are usually much better than what your typical amateur translator produces. Fansubbers of the latter type though, either ignore the existence of simulcast streams or hate them for not letting them have something to translate. (I’m not going to comment about how utterly retarded that opinion is.) But other than this, we at Commie don’t treat them as friends or enemies, just a tool to get our anime subs out.

      >Do you know of anyone who started doing fansubs and ended up finding a career as professional subtitler?
Not personally, but a lot of “pro” subbers are ex-fansubbers.

      >What is your motivation to provide fansubs?
To troll people into downloading the worst best release. (inb4 site filters out <del>)
