WTF? Did the writers SERIOUSLY try and make us feel sad for the person who EXPERIMENTED ON CHILDREN AND KILLED GOD KNOWS HOW MANY with the reason that “I wouldn’t have made it on kindness alone”? Fucking seriously?
Well yeah. Nothing inconsistent here. The show has always been consistent in presenting Nastassja in a semi-sympathetic light. Someone who did bad things, made bad decisions, but still cared deeply about Maria, Shirabe, Kirika, and the other kids.
You know, the person who despite dying at the time still managed to save the world in S2. Without her working on the moon relic everyone’s dead in short order.
And outside of Serena, I’m not sure who actually died under her care. From Maria’s own words the kids survived because Nastassja wouldn’t let them drop out and thus have to be ‘disposed of’. They survived until FIS fell apart and then were placed under protective custody.
Sounds like someone who did the best they could within a bad situation. It isn’t like she had the authority to go against Finé or close down the facility beforehand.
Obviously you don’t have to like her as a person. But no reason to freak out either like she murdered kids in her spare time.
Man I wish I could do yo-yo tricks while getting dressed. The episode was worth the wait, and the hype is real for the next one. Keep up the good work guys.
