Thank!
Ok, since you switched your codecs, the playback on the MXPlayer for android is broken. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or do you at least know what’s needed to fix this? I have this codec already installed: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/mx-player/mx-player-custom-codec-dts-support-t2156254
no, there’s not really anything you can do. you probably just have to wait for an update until it works, if they add support at all.
That’s what I mean. What kind of support do I have to look out for in a future update? I have no idea how any of this enocde mumbo jumbo works.
it’s most likely a specific ffmpeg bug that was fixed over 2 years ago now. i guess the mxplayer devs just haven’t updated ffmpeg since it was fixed or something. you can try using mpv-android or VLC until it’s fixed since those both work.
Ok, thanks. I always forget that VLC is a valid option on android now.
