If Kingdom, instead of using a fuckton of CG with minimal 2D animation would have done the exact opposite, this show would’ve been pretty damn good. Nevertheless, personally, I can disregard the shit aspects of a series if it has a good enough story, animation or whatever really. As long as there’s something good enough about the show to carry it along. A pity it will only get shit subs though…

Only available subs are from A-D and Hadena. But since I ain’t touching Hadena with a fifty foot rake A-D is the only other option. Their use of Funi subs though, is a subject I am not really knowledgeable in nor is one that I really care for. The reality is either way it makes no real difference since what comes with their releases is pretty damn bad. Mind you, I am also not implying the use of funi subs would make the release any better if that’s what you were trying to imply.
Yes I am implying the Funimation subs are very likely considerably better than the two fansub releases. If you care about having a good translation watch Funimation’s release.
Oh fine then. Just hope watching funi’s release won’t imply any kind of streaming on my part…

Kingdom isn’t a shitty show. The voice of one of the main characters is done by the same voice actor doing Ichigo in Bleach. You don’t hire a major voice actor to do a shitty show!

I just tried to watch Kingdom on Funimation. It looks like it was animated by the same people (or tech?) that did the Berserk movie. As much as I love listening to the seiyuu in it, I couldn’t stand watching it. The animation was great as long as there weren’t any people on screen. I would consider that kinda shitty.
BTW, does anyone know what the Japanese think of the show? At least 3 eps have aired, so there should be something…
