Well if I’m not mistaken, the second season of the manga starts after an ellipsis that occurs after this match.
So it’ll end until that gets a new anime, though I don’t know how many chapters are out at the moment.
yes, it’s not a surprise at all. there’s not much of the second manga yet though, so they’ll probably take a break for a while.
but where will i get my baseball fix? D:

there are original baseball anime? i can’t think of a single one.
I never understood why sports anime are always adaptations, I thought the genre style of long drawn episodes with a lot of recap is perfect for animators, and thus should make an original anime pretty easy to work on.
the main reason is mostly because they need to be pretty long and making a long original anime is pretty hard. especially with all the different characters and schools and such.
