Disney+ ended up being the best video source, unsurprisingly. Although all the Japanese streams have some hardsubbed Japanese for some of the on-screen English text, so I did have to replace that. It can’t just be “dehardsubbed” either since they actually moved the English text for some reason. The ED also looks like crap in every version. Even the BDs might not be able to handle that. As for the audio, both tracks are now from Amazon as you might expect.
I do plan on doing the v1/v2 like this every week, assuming the video sources are all uploaded consistently. Not only is the video quality upgrade quite significant, but the US streams have some dimming that the Japanese streams don’t.
