How is DTS fail-audio? You can’t even use FLAC on 99% of the systems where über-audio has a point. Obviously FLAC is overrated. Basically it’s released like this to look cool.
Try “Released with FLAC to have superior quality vs DTS while taking less space”.
It’s a no-win situation. DTS can be decoded by almost any AV receiver, FLAC cannot. FLAC provides better compression for playback on a PC, DTS does not. You can optimise for PC playback, or optimise for home cinema playback, but you can’t have both.
Unless you just make the filesize larger to compensate for DTS’s inefficiency (or in the case of DVD/BDrips, use the original audio track). That works too.
pls2explain how you are going to play an mkv on anything but a PC.
You don’t need to play it on something other than a PC. HDMI is very awesome you know!
buy a real media player. Not some overcertified junk.
