Thanks for the subs! I wanna ask though, why does the spelling alter between “Shiro” and “Shiroe” in your subs? Is that intentional, some sort of Japanese grammar quirk?
Shiro cam mean white (probably reffering to the coat and the white reflection of the glasses) and castle (bastion of calm?) depending on the signs used.
Alternatively it is entirely possible it’s just overlooked.
When characters call him ‘Shiro’, it’s just a shortened form of his full given name ‘Shiroe’, somewhat akin to how one might call one’s friend ‘Sam’ instead of ‘Samuel’.
THAT WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN 19 TIMES BEFORE, WHO IN THEIR FUCKING MINDS THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO PUT IN THE FUCKING OPENING?
And the good thing of this anime is that it didnt have that piss-poor attempt at drama that SAO had and WHOOP-DE-FUCKING-DOO, the same exact attempt at piss-poor drama /rant
data fucking base
Finally, after all of those drawn out diplomacy episodes they strike home with an episode that almost makes me cry. Data fucking base, indeed.
The intensity is KILLING me.

Yeah, you did foresee that he’s an npc from a 2 second snippet in the intro without sound.
Shut up yo.
Uhm, yeah? Why else would his dying be in any way noticeworthy?
I guess they’ve played up the ‘oh no you lose some memories’ thing, but nowhere near enough.
