New Theme
Comments/suggestions welcome.
If you don’t like it, you can quit make a better one.
lily edit: header should be 980×240. Just edit style.css, email a .zip to rhe or reply with a link.

How do I make a theme for this? is there anywhere I can find the specifics, or do I just make a background image and a header of any size?

Slight eyestrain, white text over white background (reply links, “Older entries” link, etc; at least they have a text shadow), random lines in the background image…
Overall, not your worst theme but still nowhere near as good as Tenshi or TK.
I might consider making a S;G theme, but I’ll probably be too lazy to bother. If I do, though, should I just send the CSS/images in a .zip to the usual email address or what?

I apologize, but your theme fails, and here is why:
I can see Gacchan and Margot, and they aren’t holding hands/huggling/snuggling/making out.

New theme is too bright. Doesn’t feel like Commie. Is there a specific size in Px for the Background and Header? Also, how many and which colours do I pick? Yes, I know how to provide in Hex.
Your questions are so idiotic that there’s almost no point in answering them, but I’m going to do so just so I can point out how stupid they are in the process.
If you take a look at all the other themes, you’ll notice a trend in the header size that they’re all 980px wide and ~240-260px tall. It’s pretty obvious that you should stick to these sizes. (Header must be 980px wide but height is variable within a reasonable range)
For the background, it is again pretty obvious that you should just look at what the other themes use. They’re all high-resolution pictures, with the newer ones being in widescreen. Think wallpapers.
And for the colors, here’s what you’re going to need to do (assuming you don’t want it to look like crap):
1) Download some of the content pages (i.e. the main page, a post page, and some other page like recruitment)
2) Download everything else needed for that page (all the stylesheets and things of that nature) (Most browsers let you do this during the first step by selecting “save as web page, complete”)
3) Go into the code of the web pages (.html files) and change the source of the first image in the body to the filepath or URL of your header image
4) Find the theme-specific stylesheet. If you did the “save as web page, complete” thing, just look for style.css. If you didn’t, it should be pretty obvious (the filename is still style.css).
5) Edit the line near the top that says “background: url(‘[URL]’)” so it contains the URL for your background
6) Edit the colors for all page elements, text, links, headers, borders, EVERYTHING, until you’re confident that it looks nice and everything is readable.
After that, you’re done. Email your edited stylesheet and header/body images to RHExcelion. He doesn’t like his email address to be picked up by webcrawlers, so just look for the image he uses to give people his address. It’s on the recruitment page, for one.
I’d like to point out that it took me MUCH longer to type this post out than it took me to actually figure out the answers to your questions (And it probably took longer for you to read it, too). Common sense is a valuable tool.
Not really, banner width is 980. Background is centered unless otherwise specified, so something close to 1920×1200 that blends in well with a background color for larger monitors. You can pick any colors you want, just tell us where it goes (take a screenshot and draw arrows if you have to).

Mine heard u like white and u’ve put white on the white on the white so everyone can eye cancer while they eye cancer, but mine actualy does not dislike it.

Oj my mother of hell… You really think this is for the best? I’m not designer at all but that recognise some goor or bad stuff. And this is bad. THIS IS BAD you know.
If nothing, change this:
Opacity -> less! The black text isn’t quite readable on the blue background. Or add some “white” background to the tabs with text…
Reply -> the funny 20% opacity light blue glow CHANGE to 80% opacity black and the button will appear! Like a magic, my little pony.
Please, … :) Or give us back your VERY GOOD design that was there before this cloudy-thingie appeared…
