    This better be good

  13. jellyfish says:

I think the school’s name might be “Lydian”, like the musical scale mode. Plus there’s an L on the back of the school uniform.

  14. mascthemoney says:

on another note…. i’m sorta getting tired of all these anime w/ the “i am the bone of my song” theme…. i enjoy music and all, but it’s kinda bogus to pass it off as a weapon.

  15. Fruffer says:

This show could not try more if it tried to try more. Sad.

  16. sad panda says:

i guess alot of ppl will watch this for the fap potential :P

  17. Martin says:

I watched. I’m glad I did. Keep up the good work.

  18. Tsukino Kaji says:

So what’s with all of teh music girl series’ lately?

  19. oBb says:

The animatin errors of this let me cringe (the bus in the beginning and the weird movements when Zweiflügel jump onto the stage and dance, for example)

  20. RakkaKaze says:

    Definitely… different…

Although didn’t the beginning go from present, dead character, to two years ago, to living “dead” character in the present again?

    • Messy says:

Well imagine that we are now 2 years after the attack and that she dies in a week or a month, it still works.

  21. Shawn263241 says:

Okay, so that was pretty awesome. You commies sure know how to pick ’em.

  22. Catastrophe says:

    watched it…..
i dont have the sightest idea wtf i just saw but maaaaaan i liked that shit :D

  23. Erem says:

watched it,didn’t like it, the entire time I was in wtf mode. and the main heroine isn’t even cute -^-

  24. PT says:

Err, about the CD buying part.

I am pretty sure that they were talking about limited edition goodies, instead of CD being some status symbol…

    • airco says:

But they never said anything about there being limited edition goodies within the show. CDs can be a status symbol if you imagine this is some futuristic world where everyone buys their music digitally, and only audiophiles and hipsters buy CDs. Kind of like how vinyls are today.

      • PT says:

So I went back to look at that part again after seeing your reply. I am now 120% sure that Hibiki said these magic words: “初回特典”.

Why, even when she was running to the record store, she was chanting “CD, 特典, CD, 特典”.

  25. Reign says:

    I am mildly intrigued

  26. Huh says:

    She turned into shadow sora!

Not that bad of an anime but the characters are a bit…plain

  27. GermAnon says:

    >Aufwachenschlagen

    >they don’t even say “schlagen” but the Japanese word

Commie, don’t use google translate next time they use random german. Use some English-German dictionary online:
    http://www.dict.cc/?s=beat

A (musical) “beat” is “Takt” in german and “awakening” is “Erwachen” not “Aufwachen”. Hence (and please consider this for future terminology), it would be “Takt des Erwachens”, but given the VAs say “Aufwachen”, you might go with “Takt des Aufwachens” or “Aufwachenstakt”.

Hell, even “Beat” would be ok, it exists in German even if it is a loanword from English

    • RHExcelion says:

The funny thing is that an ESL native German edited it.

      • GermAnon says:

Well, I guess he didn’t give a damn or just didn’t want to bother (possibly both).

My moon isn’t even that good but it’s just jarring to the eye, kinda like a really mingled Engrish phrase.

The current form sounds like “The Beating/Punching Of Waking Up” (could even be a jpop or kpop title).

  28. GermAnon says:

Also, I forgot, there actually is a German Japanese dictionary but I doubt you’ll need it that often:
