Chihayafuru BD Batch
Episodes 1-3 have no patch because of a new encode. Anyway, the “volumes” for season 2 are 12 episodes each, so the next release won’t be for a while, especially since I’m working on them alongside other stuff instead of exclusively like with season 1. But with season 3 so far away, I guess it’s not a big deal.

I have some trouble with playing the files. I’m using CCCP and the audio is working just fine, but the video won’t show correctly. I only get pink and green colours. So if you could help me out, I’d be really grateful.
CCCP is super out of date. it’ll probably work if you update MPC-HC from here.

64b MPC-HC works. The following all fail:
– 64b VLC (3.0.6, latest)
– 32b Aegisub (R8870)
– 32b MPC-HC
I don’t know what the common thread might be. Clearly Aegisub works for you. Do I need a later build?
yes, you need a newer build of aegisub since yours is over 3 years old. the ffmpeg in the build isn’t new enough since support for the encoding parameters i use wasn’t even added until june 2017. you can download it from here.
also i checked on VLC before and it definitely worked. maybe they broke something in VLC recently.

what are the patches for?
if you already have the v1s downloaded, it would save you a lot of time
