BTW, “Makopi’s cheerleaders”? Really? How does “fan club” sound to you?
I thought the same at first, but they use 応援団/ouendan, which literally means “cheering group” (like those DS rhythm games). Hence my use of “cheerleader.”

Am I just too sleepy or was the pacing in this episode worse than usual?

Not wrong, but feels weird when it’s right next to the observation that Makopi smiles every day as part of her idol duties. Which was probably the reason for this word choice in the first place, but I don’t think it panned out.

I think she says she’s done her research before coming. Not that it helps her much.
Also, the best girl is still Erika anyway.
