Fune wo Amu 03
herkz: smh i totally thought this was gonna be a BL anime
Some notes.
Apricot: It’s this kind.
“quite the little lady”: I doubt you’d find a phrase this long in a dictionary, but I couldn’t think of anything else with the same meaning but only applies to girls. Deal with it.
distance: The Japanese word here can be used to describe the emotional “distance” between two people, and it’s often used to describe two people growing closer to each other/falling in love. Thus Majime’s reaction. I didn’t want to use something more suggestive for the TL though because it’s still a really typical word with normal meanings.
pull string: I’m not sure there’s really a word for this in English unfortunately. The Japanese word more literally translates to “lazy string” thus their reaction that it’s really convenient.
Garden of Seven Treasures: This is the restaurant they went to at the beginning of the last episode. I didn’t typeset it then because I didn’t think it was important enough. Oops. By the way, “Seven Treasures” is this.
Japanese Cuisine: The word used here was 割烹料理 if you want to look up specifically what kind it is. I think it’s just typical Japanese food. I dunno.
tofu fermented with miso: Some info here. Apparently it has to ferment for months and then has the consistency of cheese. Weird.
>tfw Commie will never release a meme dictionary

The word card; you should translate the definition too, because that’s where he got the idea. I mean, it’s something random about some girlfriend and distance, but it does still contain the word “kanojo” as the first one in it.
actually, it’s a quote from some book. anyway, it’d be really annoying to typeset and look weird so i didn’t bother.
Fair enough. Besides, the way it was framed, I don’t think anybody could read it on tv, so maybe it was indeed supposed to just show him reacting to kyori.
yeah, it was probably too long to read anyway
Much appreciated, great job.
