Ghost in the Shell The New Movie
This is what Funi’s calling it, so we’re calling it this too.
This movie is set after the events of Pyrophoric Cult (Arise Alternative Architecture 9/10). If you haven’t seen that yet, you can find it here. Obviously those are set after Arise episodes 1-4. Speaking of those, Funi’s release for 3/4 was finally uploaded, so expect the batch for that sometime soon.
Blame Kyhz for having to go on a business trip right after this came out and delaying it. It definitely wasn’t me!

Personally, while the story was interesting to a point, motokos redesign was an atrocity not only against refugees.
What I wonder however what legal mumbo jumbo barred the tachikomas from apearing. I mean they’re his own creations, aren’t they?
Pyrophoric Cult was a lot better than the previous ARISE episodes but I just can’t get behind ARISE as a whole. Especially Ubukata’s writing. Congratulations to those who actually survived Psycho-Pass 2 after his bizarre stories there.
I don’t know if they want to go full-on with a series after this movie, but I dunno, I don’t think this holds up well compared to the original movies and Stand Alone Complex.
