Guessing it’s : The supposed “impossible to adapt” LN series, or the fact that the Sunrise staff for Horizon loved this series to death. Then the fact that the original LN author Kawakami did above and beyond what no other LN authors have done with their series getting adapted. IE bringing in a 3D model of a quasi bahamut ship? Personally doing dances so the staff can reference just one character’s style? dafuq…
Plus all the unpaid hours Kawakami (and sunrise staff) volunteered to do for Horizon. BTW animators are paid less than fast food workers. Makes no sense to work extra with no pay…
Also 4 months to produce ep 12 of S2 (or EP 25 of the whole anime series so far)? That’s not half assing it from the staff…your usual anime ep use around 40-60% of that.
Then there was the fact that well this series has a bit of everything…
One final thing? S3 will bring about Naked Toori with Naked king of France to discuss. Who the heck would not want to see that.
