JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure 20
If you haven’t upgraded your sub renderer to xy-vsfilter (it’s included with all recent versions of the CCCP, so if you’ve updated since Dec 30th, you’re OK), now would be a really, really good time. Just saying.
The typesetter would also like to know what you guys think of the new gradients (disregarding obvious computational requirements).

What did you just call me?
Don’t even want to attempt to play this… although I will try it out and see what it looks like. Just because we record now.
I have xy-vsfilter but it still lags at some parts for me.
what spectacular typesetting
thanks for the Jojo subbery! Plays fine on my submarine battle station
always bet on commie
As a total codec noob, what does the xyvsfilter do exactly?
I updated CCCP and got the classic media player with it, but I don’t really notice a difference?
Renders gradients much more efficiently.
If you want to see the difference, try playing the video in a fresh MPC-HC install (no CCCP) on another computer and watch as it chokes horribly on all the signs.
Today, I decided to stop using VLC (it played this episode like shit). I followed the instructions on this page:
http://files.nyaa.eu/HOW_DID_I_PLAYED_BACK.txt
Video playback seems fine and smooth, but the subtitles and fancy typesetting do not appear at all. Is there anything that can be done about this, or should I just return to my shameful, lowly ways of yore?
just install cccp…
Heh, that works too, I guess.
Doesn’t look quite as pretty as installing and configuring things separately, but that could just be an impression. At least it doesn’t lag in the intense scenes anymore. Thanks!
I got some lag in three different parts of this episode. The only other time I’ve got lag from watching anime on this computer was during the beginning of episode 1 of Steins;Gate, so I think that means this isn’t going to work for me. So, please, don’t use these new gradients or whatever again. :P
Also, this episode was very, very good. Thanks!
I can’t guarantee I will stop with the gradients, but I’m definitely going to tune it down a few notches.
Could you tell me some critical timestamps? Would like to test it on my machine without watching the whole episode (inb4: yes, I don’t watch jojo).
fix your problem, then we’ll talk
Now why would you not be watching JoJo?
I think 9:54 and 12:44 were two of the points for me, but with this kind of thing the points of lag will move a bit from episode to episode.
I mean, from watching to watching, I guess. Like, each time you watch it it’ll lag differently. At least in my experience with my shittier computer.
jdpedit: I combined your comments. You’re welcome.
but, but…my grunge-iness
typesetting 100,000 line… that’s crazy…
>2013
>typesetting with america
jdpls
I just want to say that your subs are god-tier. Thanks.
