What happened to the other people working on Mahoyo’s translation?
The dude that did the demo’s translation was bad/wrong and would need to be completely TLCed/redone. All the people from Amaterasu were busy and didn’t/couldn’t work on it at all.

I don’t know how these translations work, but what do they have to do besides translating? Because just translating is fast, and even if you have to reprogram some part it should not take long. I’m not whining, just trying to understand. Thanks.
translating is not even close to fast. even if the translator could work on it for a few hours a day, it would take months. and mahoyo is shorter than most games by a lot.
Hmm, I’ll try to translate an english one to my language so these fuckers can read it too. It’s a nice intro so I can learn how it works and maybe go for some serious stuff later (maybe even with you guys) and it’s even a nice practice for college.

There’ve been comments pretty much every day for a while now, but we’ve been stuck at 67.99% for months. I know the translator is going at a slower pace now that school is started and all that, but would it be possible to update the completion percent with whatever you’ve got? Even if it’s just to go up to 68%, I think it’d mean a lot to people who check this page regularly.

None of the other translators have time or have even read it. And generally, only one translator translates a game for consistency.

I wonder which game will be fully translated first, Mahoutsukai no Yoru or Fate/Hollow Ataraxia… I can even see the releases of the remake of Tsukihime and Girls’ Work before any of those projects reaches 100%. (I HOPE to be wrong)
As a TYPE-MOON fan, I am used to the eternal waiting so, I just hope that the translator can work on this as soon as possible.

Well, F/HA is at least being worked on with some measure of consistency, so it’ll probably be done before Mahoyo. Then we’ll have it to tide is over until Mahoyo is done, or hell freezes over, which ever happens first, lol.

Yeah, I’m french and I’m very happy to know that it’s going to be finished very soon but i don’t know why i want to play the english version first lolz.
(Oh and btw they’re only releasing a partial patch not the full).
I’m french too and I don’t give a fuck about the french project (I don’t trust them, and they probably can’t keep up with the quality of the previous english moon stuff translations anyway)

If you read their comments (in french) they said that the translation was “adapted for the wider audience”, so that the game would be more accessible to anybody and not just people familiar with Type-Moon Mythos/Lore. Make of that what you will.
I am curious but will we be able to get a windows 8 patch like how dracu-riot did theirs. Cause i tried the nodvd patch for this game and it wont work as long as windows 8 is going. I can start the game but it ask me for dvd and when i run nodvd program it says it cant run because of windows 8 so am stuck with 1 or the other meaning cant play at all until a windows 8 patcher is out.
typemoon released a patch so it should work on w8, though i haven’t tested it

Am also curious I got the patch to work but now the nodvd is a problem, do you have something that allows you to use a nodvd or anything? the nocd patch alpha thing is not working for me.

I think the Hollow translation has been going since before Mahoyo even started to be developed.

Eh, Amaterasu translates things on a Good Enough basis. I’m okay with a translation group that can consistently churn out a big VN in less than a year even if the translation is only passable.
