and whats wrong with hardsubbing signs?
1. You can’t turn it off to look at the clean broadcast when you feel like it (like it matters)
2. Subtitles’ crisp borders introduce ugly ringing into the compressed video or uses extra bandwidth to compensate for it.

I couldn’t care less about hardsubbing. I watch subs because I don’t understand Japanese. There’s no point in turning them off.

I thought GotSpeed’s subs were very good. But now I’m really happy a major group picked up this amazing show.

but its true, the way the subs move around is kinda hard on the eyes. that also what was annoying with your steins;gate release, sicne oyu did a similar thing there. nothign against teh subs themselves, btut he way the fonts move around is hard on the eyes.

Kara tends to lag much more than normal subs, almost always. Seriously, answer is obvious.
Hardsubbed signs – you can completely remove Japanese text and put English there, no need for English flying next to Japanese.
Hardsubbing isn’t the worst thing in the world, just think about it.

GotSpeed is subbing it though. And so what if there’s minor errors? All I care is that they release in a timely fashion, get the point of the story and dialogue across well enough for me to know what’s going on, and well. Yeah that’s really it. Also there’s the fact that they release 8-bit too (since I have a shitty ass player and for some reason my CCCP runs 10-bit god-awfully despite redownloading/updating) so I’m gonna stick with them on this. Though I’ll be sticking around here for Guilty Crown because even though my player sucks and blocks out colors and shit, fuck that show is good.

Are you sure gotwoot/speed is hard-subbed? I can turn the subs off just fine. I’m not proficient in Japanese but gotwoot’s subs don’t seem to be lacking in spelling or grammar. They also got best like/dislike ratio on myanimelist for this series (my source for which subs to d/l).
