Yeah. It reeks Makarov. Wait… Wrong universe. Dang it! :3

And, what’s the deal with military and Heroic Sacrifice theme today? (For me, at least since I did finished MW3 single player mode today)

If Yuuya pull the last man standing and being KIA in the imminent Soviet bombardment, it will make the story better. Since the relationship between Yuuya and Yui begin to budding and abruptly end in tragedy will truly set the dark tone to series.

If some Deus Ex Machina he survived the bomb raid inside the nearly cripple TSF and make a return from the dead stunt after like 3/4 episodes erk… I don’t what to say at that point. :|

Depends on how you like your steak. Medium rare or well done.

Personally, I was actually starting to like his character (labeled as protagonist on MAL). I realllllly doubt that the MAIN protagonist would just get killed off so early when they invested so much time into his character. If so, this show would truly be something that is not found anywhere else, as it wouldnt even follow the its own flow it developed. Reminds me of FMP heavily.

10 to 1. The russian group TSF group that was just chilling will save his ass as a convenient way to save his bacon.

You know the world is under a bacon shortage right now? Why waste more bacon. Save that bacon.

He’s the best character in this show. If you killed him off….. it would be like cutting the balls off a bull….. it would stop….. maybe.

Those Zhar Battalion saving Yuuya ass? Unlikely since they don’t give a shit about that American ass even though he might in a good term with their CO. Beside, the Russian already given the order to them to retreat and given the green light for the bombing raid.

I think the best possible scenario for Yuuya to survive (aka they don’t want to kill off his character mid of the series) is he manage to find the dug out tunnel left by the last BETA invasion on the base and hunker down for a while. Then, he either call for rescue evac or limping his crippled TSF to the designated evac point.

When that happen, I bet we gonna see Yuuya X Yui relationship move to the next level. I predict sexy time and more DVD/Blu-ray gimmick aka they don’t show it in the TV release. sigh…

    Something to keep in mind:

When the Japanese built the Mitsubishi Zero, they built it as a complete knock-off of an underpowered American trainer aircraft used to make sure our pilots in training didn’t kill themselves, and to avoid the “oh so difficult” task of putting in a powerful enough engine capable of meeting performance requirements, they simply stripped out all the metal, and more importantly, the self-sealing fuel tanks meant to protect the pilot and hold the aircraft together, making it, effectively, a balsa wood flying pipe bomb.

Because of the “heavier, brute force” approach of American F4F Wildcats and F6F Hellcats, once the Pacific Theater heated up, the Japanese efforts to outmaneuver aircraft were easily crushed by American pilots who had the power, the guns, and the mass necessary to out-climb, out-gun, and out-dive the Japanese.

The “circling” maneuver that Yui describes in the series is exactly how the Japanese efficiently got themselves killed by repeatedly putting themselves in the gunsights of Americans.

Their latest effort to build their own fighter, the F-2, is literally another knock-off (an F-16 with more gold plating, more wing area, and 40% of the parts coming from America), which has a lower thrust to weight ratio, and more unnecessary gadgets.

So, I have to ask, why hasn’t Bridges just thrown Colonel John Boyd’s work at Yui, and asked her how it feels to be living up to the Imperial Military tradition of sending as many Japanese citizens to their death as possible?

      You alright, guy?

It’s a matter of philosophy, John. While I could rant further and chew up valuable server space in a political and philosophical nerd rage, I’m just frustrated anime has taken this dark path from expressing cultural concepts, to outright blaming America for everything that’s wrong in the world, while simultaneously adding so much blatant fanservice, the message amounts to nothing more significant than if a stripper at Occupy Wall Street flashed Nazi pasties as part of her political agenda.

Just give me an anime that has solid, realistic animation, plot devices not tied to slutty bunny suits and cultural bias of Japanese “female pollution” as they call it, and an original sci-fi concept that isn’t copying something an American sci-fi author hasn’t made since Edgar Rice Burroughs in the 1920s.

I was just sayin…. I mean…. its already so screwed up…. anything could happen at this point…. except the MC getting killed off. UNless… he isnt the MC, then he could die a dogs death and have virtually no impact on the overall story.
