Toradora was surprising well adapted even though they went at impressive speeds of volume per episode at first and simplified or cut out quite a bit. Also when they don’t, you fags howl that it’s boring and has too much talking, see Horizon which had only 1 volume (albeit twopart?) adapted for the whole season.
FFS 10 bit is not the messiah. Its not the post-modern cure-all for what ails you. You guys are going overboard on the 10 bit compression size. What happened to better quality at same size as 8 bit. I heard nothing about worse quality at smaller file size than 8 bit.
“encode looks like shit”? What are you talking about? It looks fine, especially for a 150MB file. No need to double the file size for the sake of whatever pixel-sized details you’re missing.
I have the same problem. MPC + tried various codecs.
The subtitles are there, but won’t load in the player. I exported them with Aegisub, but that’s unnecessary extra work.
looked pretty good maybe through a few more bits at the picture next time but honestly looked fine. Excellent job in the typesetting given how quickly it was released. Much thanks.
now i dont really see the need to make an elaborate translation of the name, even though its a wordplay.. with the other volumes, by the time they get animated its only gonna get harder.. i mean how are fansubbers supposed to make an elaborate translation of kizumonogatari for example?
“damaged goodstory” would maybe still kinda flow because “goods” ends with the “s” to start story with, butsounds weird eh? and other ways to translate it… im pretty sure any right translation for kizumono would make the title too long and so kinda obese for a wordplaytitle…
I guess maybe it’s simply because of tradition. The first season title was translated as a wordplay, so all subsequent seasons will have a wordplay title as well.
In case of Kizumonogatari, you could go with the meaning “unvirtuous girl” for kizumono, cross out girl and use chaste as a synonym for virtuous and go with “Unchastory” (though “Unvirtuoustory” would already work).
Anyway, some possibility for wordplay will be found.
I’m probably just being silly, but what’s the 偽物/nisemono translation beginning with sophi-? Also, isn’t ‘imposter’ wrong because of the kanji? 偽者 = person, 偽物 = thing, right?
Script bears pretty much semblance to horrible subs. Seems like next to nothing but reformatting and dehonorification was own work.
Dissapointing. Now I wonder how far the scepticism aborn is groundful.
Yeah-yeah, and I totally disregarded the encoding part and karaoke (which probably had one line mislayered).
It all has to do with what image I had before realizing the actual way of things. Noone asks to care about my opinion. (But script felt, like, too lifeless to me. That’s why I was interested in potentially–read, “expectedly”–different take and was tempted to check your release as well.)
In this case, a “different take” on the dialogue would just result in being wrong. It’s pointless.
Crunchyroll really DID do that excellent a job. There’s a reason no groups except for us are even trying.
I don’t know what you mean by it being lifeless; the script flowed very well and captured most of the bite of the original dialogue. It beat the hell out of the work put out by any of the fansub groups that covered Bakemonogatari.
(Such praise, and yet you do remove line breaks from numerous lines 50+ characters long…) Reluctancy to try and go into details is due to expectant coming up short. Myself not being a fully-fledged translator, groupie or something. Hence the choice of words. It’s too early to listen to my lectures.
“Sophistory”… I like it.
Don’t give him ideas.
I concur.
Guys, it’s out. Where yall at?
Thanks!
So what’s up with the tiny file sizes?
>shaft
>animation
Not having watched Bakemonogatari yet, is this a sequel to that?
yes
wtf is wrong wid you.
So far so good. Only ZnT left from my anime fix for this season.
>Watching JC Staff’s ‘adaptions’ instead of reading the novels
I bet you love~ Toradora.
an elitistfag who calls himself “otaku gaijin”… ohhhh yeah. gah.
Toradora was surprising well adapted even though they went at impressive speeds of volume per episode at first and simplified or cut out quite a bit. Also when they don’t, you fags howl that it’s boring and has too much talking, see Horizon which had only 1 volume (albeit twopart?) adapted for the whole season.
>not watching the anime adaptation purely for nostalgia value
>liking Toradora
what accusations are you making, are you high or something?
ah dotn bother so much, seems like one of these perosns that wanna feel superior by bashing adaptions;he/she probably didnt even watch any.
>implying I am not exactly of this type of persons too
Finally! Thank you very much Commie :D
Dat 152 MB release
wow!! thanks guys. i really looking foward to this show.
Thank God…I was about to watch Horrible Subs
>Nisemonogatari
>150 mb
Nisemono da!
Thanks a lot for this! You’re awesome!
YOU GUYS
FAILED
TO DISAPPOINT
Give me my Nisemonogatari ThemE! Horizon is so over.
I watched this via horriblesubs thinking this group wasn’t going to… now I know otherwise…
Also WTF at hitagi prisoning lol
dat karaoke
Commie confirmed for saving Nise this season.
No 720p?
I’m pretty sure this IS the 720p
Only 720p

CR edit or original TL? (CR’s TL was supposedly good, according to 8th)
cr with some tlc
plus own tl for signs that were subbed by cr
CR edit, with that one major error fixed. (¬‿¬)
What was the error?
Man I hate Fileserve… DL speed always caps out at 450kb/s, while Megaupload tends to give me 800kb/s+ Any reason for only using Fileserve guys?
fileserve = money to pay for stuff
fileserve pays them per x downloads
My internet connection caps out at 320kbit/s
did u think 450 kB/s is slow? u must be never taste 30 kB/s
ಠ益ಠ
Oh hello 1.6 MB/s.
uwaa. I had almost given up on this due to the crunchy roll simulcast pushing other subbers off. サンキョウ!
Technically:
Nisemono – Impostor
Monogatari – Story
Therefore: Impostory
>150 mb
>2012
Just letting you know that the encode looks like shit.
This. I’m all for small filzesizes but not when it looks worse than CR. There’s much less banding but you’re killing details mang
pics and gtfo
Your MOM is 150 mb.
Someone doesn’t know about 10bit…
FFS 10 bit is not the messiah. Its not the post-modern cure-all for what ails you. You guys are going overboard on the 10 bit compression size. What happened to better quality at same size as 8 bit. I heard nothing about worse quality at smaller file size than 8 bit.
Because there’s no point in >300mb encodes that look the same as 200mb encodes
Full retard spotted. I bet if we did a 180 MB 8-bit encode people would still complain anyway.
I don’t even know if you’re trolling!
go watch the ts then, you can remux them with this release if you want to argue about sub.
10-bit you moron
so learn japanese, pay for japanese channels, and watch that. otherwise, stfu?
Ops! Sorry, it IS 720p… So small!
Thanks!
Thanks guys!!!! T.T I’m already crying from happyness!! I can believe you did it!!
High encode setting plz.
so fast and the grammars are perfect, how can you guys DO THIS!
>so
>grammars are
>DO THIS
>!
Honestly I’m not sure we want to receive compliments about grammar from someone like you.
You missed a comma between the first two words, Champ.
Not to mention that the one comma he used should be replaced with a period.
Just rip top-tier CR script and take some time to make it even better…?
Great episode. I can’t believe how much I missed these characters.
commie = bro tier
“encode looks like shit”? What are you talking about? It looks fine, especially for a 150MB file. No need to double the file size for the sake of whatever pixel-sized details you’re missing.
Umm.. is it just me or it doesnt have subtitles?
what am i doing wrong? [Mpc hc +cccp]
I have the same problem. MPC + tried various codecs.
The subtitles are there, but won’t load in the player. I exported them with Aegisub, but that’s unnecessary extra work.
SCHWEET!
Thanks a lot… HAVE A GOOD NIGHT!
looked pretty good maybe through a few more bits at the picture next time but honestly looked fine. Excellent job in the typesetting given how quickly it was released. Much thanks.
Very good work with the typesetting. Thanks for the speedy release.
Thanks for releasing this.
Imo “Sophistory” sounds a lot better than “Impostory”.
My favourite would have been “Forgestory” though.
Because ‘forgest’ is a word, right. Are you missing the whole point of it being a portmanteau?
Nisemono = ForgeRY
Monogatari = StoRY
together: ForgestoRY
you get it now?
but it sounds lame
(¬_¬)
No. That’s even worse than Sophistory, by far.
*shrugs* everyone has different tastes. It was worth a try.
now i dont really see the need to make an elaborate translation of the name, even though its a wordplay.. with the other volumes, by the time they get animated its only gonna get harder.. i mean how are fansubbers supposed to make an elaborate translation of kizumonogatari for example?
“damaged goodstory” would maybe still kinda flow because “goods” ends with the “s” to start story with, butsounds weird eh? and other ways to translate it… im pretty sure any right translation for kizumono would make the title too long and so kinda obese for a wordplaytitle…

Seconding Damaged Goodstory.
rejects + story = rejectstory?
shopistory is good
impostory is good
but my favorite will be travestory
I’m probably just being silly, but what’s the 偽物/nisemono translation beginning with sophi-? Also, isn’t ‘imposter’ wrong because of the kanji? 偽者 = person, 偽物 = thing, right?
That obviously should’ve been ‘impostor’, but whatever.
偽物語.
偽者 = a pretender/impostor.
物語 = a narrative.
(do you see how they combined the kanji for pretender/impostor and narrative to get the name of the show? keep that in mind)
Let’s break it down. “Pretender/Impostor + Narrative (Story) = Impostor + Story = Impostory”
Get it now?
I certainly see where Impostory comes from, but:
偽物語.
偽物 = a counterfeit article.
物語 = a narrative.
Doesn’t it make much more sense to assume that to get 偽物語, they combined 偽物 and 物語 rather than 偽者 and 物語?
littlesistory
No Ending EP?
There was no ED in Ep 01.
Script bears pretty much semblance to horrible subs. Seems like next to nothing but reformatting and dehonorification was own work.
Dissapointing. Now I wonder how far the scepticism aborn is groundful.
If the script is good to start with it doesn’t need much from us.
The script was exceptionally well-done in the first place. Unlike some groups, we’re smart enough to be able to realize when not to mess with things.
Also, if you can’t see the stuff that’s all our work, like the signs, then that’s your loss. Rest assured, nobody cares if you watch Horrible instead.
But you won’t be getting any walls of text from them.
Yeah-yeah, and I totally disregarded the encoding part and karaoke (which probably had one line mislayered).
It all has to do with what image I had before realizing the actual way of things. Noone asks to care about my opinion. (But script felt, like, too lifeless to me. That’s why I was interested in potentially–read, “expectedly”–different take and was tempted to check your release as well.)

oh worse img quality than horriblesubs
http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/102144
CR gets a copy direct from the studio, we have to deal with a tv broadcast.
