Seems there’s a mistake at 5:17. Shouldn’t it be “spring break,” rather than “summer break?” I’m hearing “haruyasumi,” plus the hell reference is pretty canonical….
probably, but the translator wasn’t around to confirm and i didn’t see a point to delaying it another day for something minor like that.
I’m glad you didn’t wait. Though I’m sure he’ll want to fix it up when he gets the chance, given the seminal importance of the “spring break” event.

It seems that the subtitle “However, in the meantime, the fact remains that Oshino Ougi is just Oshino Ougi” stays on for quite a wile from 10s to 17s but Araragi keeps speaking and its not translated.
pretty sure that’s not wrong. we just didn’t translate it particularly literally.
Just checked for reference at the same time-frame HS has “That said, she is who she is after all. She is nothing more than herself, so even if I start, even if I start anew, even if I go back… The fundamental topic ends just like that”
So yeah just multiple ways of saying Oshino is Oshino but it would be nice having it properly translated as it feels weird having the “summary” stay on for ~10s when you know there is more that is said.

This is the first time I thought something was off when you could hear the pauses between sentences and the subtitle didn’t change for a noticeable amount of time so I brought it up.
I didn’t mean anything bad by it and I’m thankful for a great release. I just wanted it to be even better that it already is.

Repetition is a core part of the writing in Monogatari and the translation will repeat itself like the Japanese wherever I can make it work in English. But I remove these repetitions or replace them by some other rhetorical trick whenever I feel they don’t work like I want them to in English.
You be the judge whether Aniplex’ reads well.
