I used Saizen’s subs as a base this time (though I did completely retime and retyepset them), mostly because they’re already formatted in a sane way, which saves me a lot of time. They aren’t really better than the official subs, so I still referenced them from time to time. Though I wouldn’t call either subs good. Both are quite horrible whenever there’s some baseball jargon.

On the video side, this time the anime is native 720p, so it’s far more watchable. I tried to descale it, but the kernel that worked the best didn’t fix the aliasing, so it didn’t seem worth it. Instead, it’s just a normal spline36 downscale with some antialiasing applied.
