Shitty German words sprinkled here and there. If we have German translators or Germanophile, stop unnecessarily putting in your pig latin, even the greatest german ever, Frederick the Great, despised the German language.
agreed that german is an awesome language,
but randomly putting them in there when they’re saying easy to understand japanese, as clear as day, makes it kinda awkward
I thought that on an earlier episode you guys decided to do multi-versions, one of them a straight(ish) translation. Now it seems you are just going to flame anyone who doesn’t like your version of German standup comedy. I get it. I won’t be back to waste my time commenting again.
What happened to dual subbing? Surely it wasn’t too difficult to do.. Swap out the words that you randomly swapped in German for and there you go. TWO DIFFERENT SUB TRACKS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE.
Ah, it’s up. Awesome. And I’m glad to see the dual tracks are up – I find the gratuitous German amusing, sorta, while No Fun Allowed is best for full understanding.
That said, wonder if Senshado originated from Japan. If so, then by rights Panzerfahren would need to be retranslated to Senshado – as an example, Kendo is not translated as “Way of the Sword” or Schwertfahren, but just Kendo, because it’s a proper name. Cf also Aikido, Karate, Krav Maga, Jeet Kun Do, Tae Kwon Do, Pencak Silat, Wushu, etc…
Thank you for the subs! Great Work!
To everyone complaining about the german in the subs or the anime itself: Shut the FUCK up! You got this for free, nobody makes you watch it, so stop whining! So the german brings a little bit of brainfuck, but: Das ist die Nahrung für Genies, kein Futter für Idioten!
Viele Grüße aus der Heimat des Panzerkampfwagens IV!
It being free is not a valid defense, i can give you a free glass of poisoned water to drink, therefore you shouldn’t complain when you’re dying? same concept as i am dying of reading them shitty subs… so i just watch raw lol i understand most of it anyways.
I lived next door to people who translated things for a living. When translating, ideally the aim is to keep as much as possible in the target language, and reducing the use of other languages as much as possible.
To that end, while the Ubermensch subs are amusing and entertaining enough, they’re not good examples of translation, because there is a lack of clarity and comprehension on part of the viewer.
And that completely defeats the point of having an English sub.
Hi guys, just came to say: thanks a lot for these translations! Have been following this anime (after Kyoukai Senjou) through this site, and am very thankful for this extremely helpful free service. Looking forward to moar great subs! =]
About language, was just wondering: instead of 2x sub tracks, would it be possible to have just one single track, keep all the German, but add translator’s notes at the top (in much smaller font) explaining the German? I’ve seen some Chinese subs do that for not only German terms spoken in the anime, but also for stuff (e.g. very brief and quick descriptions of DD tanks, D-Day, or some Japanese deity) that some may not know for whatever reason. So sorry if this had already been asked before; I’d taken a little look around, but haven’t seen anything like this asked about. Thanks!
Dear staff people,
I dont even have to tell you this but dont change a thing. I love it. For all I care you can drop the retard-friendly version if anything. Sometimes I would just love to slap online people around. Or kiss. You I would kiss. Passionately. Mouth open and tongue out. Lederhosen.
I lol’d
TL Note: Panzer vor means Panzer vor
“angry as Churchill” lololololololololololo(ad infinitum)
How long before we get Panzer vore?

comments like these are exactly why we don’t stop
The staff are unanimous, German is an awesome language.
agreed that german is an awesome language,

clearly you don’t find it awesome enough
i mean it’s nice and funny, just sorta disconnects me a bit more away from the anime itself
>stopped playing and laughing for a while
>rewind it a bit
>stopped it again and ROFL
>continue
It also counted as distracting :P
Not clear on the whole fansubbing concept?
Not clear on the whole “I don’t give a shit what you think” concept?
Wow! I’m quite clear now.
I thought that on an earlier episode you guys decided to do multi-versions, one of them a straight(ish) translation. Now it seems you are just going to flame anyone who doesn’t like your version of German standup comedy. I get it. I won’t be back to waste my time commenting again.
>i’m a huge fucking faggot and i don’t know what “alternate subtitle track” means
We did. Not our fault you’re blind.
Feel free to continue being butthurt that your initially rude comment got responded to with equal rudeness.
It’s nice to know that, in this day and age, there are still people who are defiantly retarded in all their pursuits.
I’d prefer the normal subs to be default, but come on, it’s not worth getting that spastic over.
I took 2 years of German in high school, not enough to really know much, but enough to find these subs hilarious.
Great work comrades!

nothing happened to it
dont you love when people make a fool of themselves?
LOL.
The “no fun allowed” subs have TS fucked up, there’s no Banner style etc.
this anime sucks shit

Are you new here or something?
>That said, wonder if Senshado originated from Japan.
Who knows? It’s a fictional concept.
u must be a n00b
thx for the Subs!
“Ruhe auf den billige Plätzen” for all german haters :D

Not to say I disapprove of the German or anything, but this is the exact same argument people use to defend Hadena. Keep that in mind.
Yeah the “it’s free so stop bitching” argument holds 0 weight. Being free doesn’t absolve it of criticism.
It being free is not a valid defense, i can give you a free glass of poisoned water to drink, therefore you shouldn’t complain when you’re dying? same concept as i am dying of reading them shitty subs… so i just watch raw lol i understand most of it anyways.
so you’re agreeing with him?
looks like he is.
>8:24 and 21:25: 戦車 translated as tank instead of Panzer

are you fucking stupid? there are two tracks
jesus fucking christ
Just put the no fun allowed track first and us Übermenschen can just switch the track, as we’re not retarded.
But the collective rage of 10000 streamers is delicious.

That’s more work and looks tacky. Also, you can just use Google.
Understood. And yeah, I do simply use G. Translate quite a bit. Thanks!
21:35 or so, Sanders is probably a reference to Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

L-Lewd.
As an Austrian… please stop speckling German into the show… it is annoying and looks bad imo.
Not to mention it just seems like someone knows kinder german and is using that.
>second sub track
