That’s one thing that’s always surprised me about Commie. Your group has more people working in it than any other group I’ve ever heard of, and yet you still have shows delayed seemingly indefinitely.
How does this happen?
Because “people available who could theoretically work on something” does not equal “people available who actually work on something”.
This isn’t a human resources department – you can’t just assign people to stuff they don’t want to do, and nobody else really cares about working on the SAO BDs to begin with.
There’s only one guy who typesets JoJo and he is very busy because it takes forever to do each episode and he has a bunch of other shows to do as well.
For KC, the translator disappeared after translating 14+15 and nobody else wanted to do it. We have a backup translator who’ll finish 16+17 one day but it’s taking a while. I don’t really blame him seeing as how he’s never even watched the rest of it and I am probably the only person in Commie who actually likes the show.
Funi use those terms in (italicised) Japanese, so you’re free to watch their stream instead if you prefer their terminology. We’ll just be editing their scripts from episode 7 onwards anyway.
