Rinne no Lagrange – 1

Cast away those VHS players, folks. Have your 720p, and at this size you can eat it too.

PS: If you’re not getting sound, make sure your ffdshow settings look like this. If it still doesn’t work, you can use this audio file and REMUX, THEN CHOOSE THE SECOND AUDIO TRACK ON PLAYBACK (or this patch [There’s a guide to using patches in the Guides section]). It also works with LAV filters’ audio decoding.

better than underwater’s half a gig size.

  2. Al says:

I tried to match the settings here, but all I get is the video. on libfaad2 for AAC, which is what it was set to before, the video doesn’t run. does anyone know why this is?

I have the latest coreavc, cccp, and am using mpc-hc. none of commie’s other stuff, including the preair of this episode, had this issue. is there something special about this one?

    • RHExcelion says:

Make sure “mixer” is ticked as well, try playing it without coreavc, update, etc.

The TV broadcast was fucked up.

As stated in the post, if all else fails, you can grab the separate audio track, rename it the same as the video, and watch it like that.

      • Al says:

mixer is ticked. not sure what it does though.

is there a way to add the audio file into the video and sync them so I don’t have to keep track of 2 files? or will there be a v2?

        • RHExcelion says:

Use the patch. There won’t be a v2, because in the future, people should have players that decode this correctly.

For now, you can use the patch.

          • derp says:

I like how everyone here is so aspie with their comments and explanations.

Those two patch guides referenced, labored under the assumption that the right to watch a show should be contingent on how well you understand arcane programs and the latest in player gewgaws.

The recommend ffdshow settings kept freezing the player, and I’m not going to spend an hour downloading xdelta3 and screwing around with the command prompt window.

Hopefully someone oneday will sub a version that’s not pro’s only.

            • herkz says:

              xdelta is <1MB

all you have to type is xdelta -d rinneaudiofix.xdelta

stop being a retarded piece of shit for once

p.s. the problem is not on our end, the audio was fucking up by the TV station

          • Anon says:

So, basically, if you can’t play it this time, too bad, you’re fucked?

            Nice.

          • Artanis says:

So if all your future stuff is going to be like this, can you give a more in-depth explanation of what you’ve done? Your ffdshow settings screenshot doesn’t give me enough information to get mplayer to play this right.

            • KKRais says:

WE didn’t do anything. The TV station fucked up the audio.

              Hopefully that won’t happen again.

              • Artanis says:

Ah. I just assumed from your comment that we should have players that decode this correctly in the future that you had done this.

Sorry about that, and thanks for the patch. It was absolutely painless to apply.

  3. Alex says:

    Thank you very much Commie!

  4. trying to be helpful says:

Had issues with this release and Underwater’s. Player up to date and the ffdshow settings matched the pic above, still nothing. Installed LAV Filters 0.43 and added it to the external filters. Both releases work fine now.

  5. The Marquis says:

My first ever post here…or was it second

Well anyway thnx for the release and i don’t have any problem with the sound like most people say.

    So thnx again ^^

  6. eeeeeeeh says:

Not to be a huge fag, but what if I’m using MPlayer OSX Extended?

  7. firemage says:

Patch not working with win 7 64 (pro)

    goinga try updating my cccp

  8. nINJAkECIL says:

Ffdshow is slow as hell. I’d advise use LAV Filter for both video and audio decoder. And it faster than ffdshow.

  9. C says:

I can hear the sound just fine, but the video itself is fucked up.

  10. macxxx007 says:

    awww… just when I was feeling nostalgic…

    …NOT!

Thanks for the 720! HAVE A GOOD NIGHT!

  11. AdeptZero says:

I have the same settings for the ffdshow as the picture you posted, but it still doesn’t work. Tried installing the LAV Filters 0.43 but it makes no difference as well.

  12. Dravonic says:

What’s up with the chroma bleeding? Is it on the source? Or maybe there’s something wrong with my codec?

  13. Allan says:

Try downloading one of the vlc nightly builds, it worked for me without any issues

  14. ricz says:

What guide should I be using?

  15. ricz says:

I dled the separate audio… but what should I do next?

  16. Marlin says:

I don’t want to use the patch unless I absolutely can’t find a way to make this work.

I use UMPlayer + Mplayer 2 and I really don’t see any trace or option for ffdshow. All I have for my audio option is this: http://min.us/mI6Uod9Dm

  17. Luxxyz says:

so i just redownloaded CCCP (new version 2011-11-11) and works fine. koo thanks commie

  18. marinetr says:

    kmplayer works completely fine too

  19. mplayer2 says:

mplayer2 2.0 fails to play it.
Video stops (can manually skip through) and no audio.

  20. Metasheep says:

I also had to set AC3 (S/PDIF encode mode) under output to get it to work.

    http://minus.com/mhHWD3lLX

  21. Phil says:

    POSSIBLE FIX TO ISSUE:

If you’re having troubles just download the latest file from CCCP

    http://www.cccp-project.net/

Had issue with audio before but now it works fine.
    Hope it helps

  22. isage says:

bitches with mplayer should just use faad decoder for audio.

  23. asdf says:

i don’t understand shit about these programs either but come on people, it’s not some obscure wizardry…

    1. download the patch
    http://www.mediafire.com/?rn9oobaccnoeizq

    2. download either the 32bit or the 64bit version of xdelta from http://code.google.com/p/xdelta/downloads/list
it’s one of the files on the top with the little “featured” besides it

    3. put the .mkv, the exdelta file and the patch in the same folder

    4. open notepad and create a .txt file in which you write

    xdelta3.exe -d “rinneaudiofix.xdelta”
    @pause

save and rename it from .txt to .bat, the filename doesn’t matter

make sure you don’t have hidden your file extensions (because then you’d actually name it filename.bat.txt instead of filename.bat)

    5. rename the xdelta3.0z.x86-32.exe/xdelta3.0z.x86-64.exe to just xdelta.exe so the .bat file you just created will find it.

    6. depending on where you downloaded the .mkv, the filename might have underscores in it instead of spaces, in that case rename it to
    [Commie] Rinne no Lagrange – 01 [D7070C5C].mkv

    6. now that
    xdelta.exe
    rinneaudiofix.xdelta
    the .bat-file
    and
    [Commie] Rinne no Lagrange – 01 [D7070C5C].mkv

are in the same folder, run the .bat file, wait and it should spit out a working

[Commie] Rinne no Lagrange – 01 [Fixed audio].mkv

you can delete all the other crap now, you don’t need it anymore

    done

    • Random says:

Thank you, don’t know why anyone could a have just said this first. (guide being unavailable)

Wasn’t working at first, but i took the “quotes” off. Now all is good.

  24. shadowslayer says:

How dare you make me wast a whole 10 seconds of my life to figure out how to apply that patch to get it to work perfectly…. LOL
Thanks Alot for the ep keep up the good work

  25. mplayer2 says:

WTF? The audio is 1 channel Front: C
    Underwater’s is the same.
But the inability for my mplayer2 to even play the video (it just stops) is the real issue.
OK time for a raw + sub extract :(

    • isage says:

just set faad (libfaad2) as audio decoder. works for me like a charm

      • random_mplayr2_user says:

And did you really try it with this particular file? FAAD working on Moshidora was a fluke due to a larger bug and here both ffaac and faad fail.

  26. Kanoto says:

chipping in to confirm @Phil’s suggestion.
CCCP installation simplifies matters, especially if you’re using MP Classic already.

  27. Wtf says:

Been trying for 10 minutes now, both using the guide you put up and by trying what “asdf” wrote. Still don’t work.

F it, downloading an episode shouldn’t be this much work, going to a different subgroup on this one.

    • DmonHiro says:

And don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

      • RHExcelion says:

The best part is that the competition has the same problem, and they don’t even provide you with a patch.

        • Wtf says:

Not really though, downloaded it from some other subgroup without any problems. Worked wonders.

Don’t get me wrong though, I still love your work and plan on continuing dl’ing your stuff. Just not planning on wasting 10+ minutes trying to get something to work that I could get elsewhere in 10 seconds.

        • Rekishi says:

Actually, no. Downloaded it from Underwater instead and it worked just fine. Sorry if you guys are annoyed by the fact that your viewers value convenience, but that’s no reason to act like total douchebags.

  28. HungryKoala says:

I use Media Player Classic, didnt have sound before. Then I downloaded the latest CCCP and the problem is solved.

    Thanks for the subs. o/

  29. Izzard says:

You need to make your text links a bit more visible or at the very least, underlined.

Had a hard time trying to get the audio to work until I noticed that there was a link to the filter screenshot itself.

  30. Shark says:

Use the fucking patch , its easy ….

  31. Gel Banana says:

and not like anyone cares, CRC after the audio patch is [259FC922]

  32. S p e e d S t a r says:

Thanks COMMIE :D It worked well :3

  33. jojo says:

I had no Sound problmens, but strangely its Mono Sound!? Aside from that, great release!

    Audio
    ID : 3
    Format : AAC
    Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec
    Format profile : LC
    Codec ID : A_AAC
    Duration : 23mn 39s
    Channel(s) : 1 channel
    Channel positions : Front: C
    Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz
    Compression mode : Lossy
    Title : Commie
    Language : Japanese

    • RHExcelion says:

The underlying problem is that the headers are fucked up and makes your decoder think it’s mono sound.

      • jojo says:

Figures. I extracted the AAC (from patched version) and opened it with AVS, shows only 1 channel. So the AAC itself is messed up. AVS couldnt even open the AAC from initial release.

    • jojo says:

Just an addition. I compared both files, and Original release is STEREO, despite the wrong File-Info. Format from this so called “patched” version is MONO.

  34. zohos says:

some1 help me to play this in some other player than media player classic plz -_-

  35. Recently says:

This show looks promising (then again GC looked promising after 1 ep too haha….)

Had no problems with the sound or video myself, and i don’t use anything special just the latest version of CCC and WMP 12

  36. Ryukai says:

Has this happened to anyone else? Once it gets to 21 minutes it freezes. The time keeps going but the picture stays the same.

I’m using the patched version with MPC-HC, LAV filters and madVR codecs.

  37. Kinoko says:

As has been stated, getting the newest version of CCCP seems to be the simplest solution, at least for the audio. As far as the freezing video issues go, I’m clueless. Fortunately, I didn’t have that problem.

  38. frizky says:

lol, just choose disable option on AAC decoder in ffdshow audio decoder, it works on me

  39. FuNkAdR0 says:

Working fine with LAV Filters 0.44 ;)

  40. Ryan says:

Running Ubuntu 11.10 64bit using SMPlayer/mplayer2 and ended up using the external audio file in order to get sound; I did not try patching it.

I also had it freeze around 21 minutes, but stopping playback and resuming from last point allowed it to play through to the end.

  41. orez says:

Didn’t work for me, so downloaded the fixed version from some other guy. Commie should just fix it or say they don’t have the time, not blame on our codecs.

    • johnny_dickpants says:

We did fix it, maybe you should learn to read.

      • orez says:

Downloaded the torrent doesn’t work, downloaded some random guy’s fixed one and it works. Coincidence? I think not. You guys are doing a great job, but that shit was just childish. Your error or not, if you can fix it then please do. Some of us are just mortals when it comes to codecs and such.

        • johnny_dickpants says:

WE DID FIX IT, HOW ABOUT YOU SCROLL TO THE TOP OF THE PAGE AND LEARN TO READ?

          • orez says:

I guess I am blind or smth or maybe as you say I need to work on my reading, so can you please be so kind as to show me where it says (copy/paste)that you fixed it. In case you can’t I would hope to get apologies as you are behaving like a complete cunt, then again judging by your maturity level I should just give up

  42. Smex says:

No need to patch anything. Just use the latest cccp and everything will be fine. I had the same problem. Reinstalled codec, it works now.
