Now to wait for BDs and hope the colours/brightness/whatever during battle scenes isn’t still muted.

  16. Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru My Girlfriend and Childhood Friend Fight Too Much lover says:

I’d like to thank the group and all involved staff for taking the time to make Senki Zesshou Symphogear G: In The Distance, That Day, When The Star Became Music… available to the english speaking fans.
I have had a blast watching this show, and I am certain I am not alone in sharing those feelings. I believe the amount of comments on this post, and the amount of torrent downloads on Nyaa speak for themselves.

I am aware that a ragtag group released this final episode, and the quality of the release was more than adequate, but it is the professional quality of an organized group of dedicated fans that I seek out and best allow me to enjoy an anime to its fullest. Even if I were to learn japanese to the point where I did not need subtitles, I would most likely still take the time to download a fansubbed release, as the feeling that fills me when I know I am enjoying a work where both the artists that made the anime and the fansubbers’ love for the show filled the release is like no other, it is simply indescribable.

On that note, I do think you deserve a scolding for delaying the release for this long when there are no professional-quality alternatives like there are when Crunchyroll is simulcasting a show. However, it is exactly because there was no simulcast that I can forgive it just this once. Back in the day, before simulcasting was a thing, delays for subtitled releases were an expected part of being a fan, as translating a show with no assistance, especially a show with as many songs and odd terminology as Senki Zesshou Symphogear G: In The Distance, That Day, When The Star Became Music…, is a tiresome challenge. With that said, I am glad you managed to finally sort out whatever problems were holding up this release, and I will be looking forward to seeing more of this franchise, should a season 3 ever happen.

  17. giao su says:

    Yippie!
    Thanks for this release.

  18. Shawn263241 says:

Man that was a hell of a delay. Anyways, thanks a bunch for this episode and your work on this series!

  19. doug says:

Well, I waited for you Commie. I even downloaded the other one but then never ended up watching it. There are probably one or two other people on the Internet that did too, and anyway this isn’t even THAT horribly fucking slow compared to one or two other shows. OK it was pretty fucking slow. But still there are some of us who appreciate you seeing it through. So. Thank you.

    • herkz says:

Well, I mean… our release already has more downloads, so…

    • Satoshi says:

Well… I did not even download the anon release and was patiently waiting for Commie.
So I believe there are more than two people who did wait =)

  20. Lanford says:

About damn time, thanks for not giving up on this show! I enjoyed both Symphogear seasons a lot, since the songs are by Elements Garden, that studio just knows how to crack my ears up and down…

Anyway, I confess I did download the other version, however, haven’t watched it because I had busy days lately – was going to watch it tonight, but then I saw you showed up your release, so I am the most grateful for not watching it before.

Thanks for the subs, and see you later when the BDs are released~

  21. RamenSempai says:

Yeah but Sympho subs and Genjuros angels and that anonymous release and DeadFish all do a better job than Commie -.-
