Just a quick hint on Lagrange : the word you translated into “Legarite” is in fact “L’égalité” which means “Equality” in French (it’s pretty clear since they pronounce it exactly like a French person would) and the last name of the principal introduced in episode 8 is actually “De Rochefort”, which is the name of a city on the Atlantic coast and a common (aristocratic) French last name.

We had “L’égalité” in episode 1, then when we switched to using the Viz official subs afterwards they had “Le Garite” so we went with that from then on. The two planets are called Le Garite and De Metrio by Viz, is there a corresponding French word to go with De Metrio?

For Hotarubi,
every instances of “Uncle” should be “Grandpa”. Every instances of “Auntie” should be “Grandma”.
Oji-san is uncle, while Ojii-san is Grandpa. Oba-san is aunt, while Obaa-san us grandma. One letter that makes big difference; now you know why Japanese don’t like to be called as such.
Also, “Fifth grader” is actually “middle schooler” or “seventh grader”.
Lastly, spirits are youkai, but youkai doesn’t include spirits only.
Demons are youkai, but youkai doesn’t include demons only.
Just like how Oni (Street Fighter) is a kind of youkai, but youkai doesn’t include exclusively him.
I blame our TLC.
Also youkai is staying as spirit.
Hotarubi no Mori e is one of those quietly great films. I wish there was much more like this. It’s why I am an Anime fan in the first place. This doesn’t rely on big bouncing boobs, mecha, love triangles or high school comedies. This is just good entertainment in the Miyazaki and Shinkai camps. Great!!!!

I know there is no proper typesetter for Mirai Nikki but it was really bad this time. Any idea if you’ll be doing v2s at any time?

Yeah I remember you saying you had a typesetter with the last batch. In this batch though episodes 16-18 all had problems with text getting cut off and going out of the boxes for the phones etc. Is it something on my end then? Cause it is only for those 3 episodes 15 & 19 are both fine.
Any screenshots? Would help to narrow down the problem.

I dunno, it all displayed perfectly fine on my end or else I would have yelled at the typesetter to fix it. Maybe it’s some mpc internal renderer thing.

Looks like something went horribly wrong at some point and the styles got changed somehow.
I’m a typesetter my self, so I can fix it easy with Aegissubs.
But after ep. 15 it just goes downhill. each ep. progresivly worse.
Except for 19, who has minor details to fix.
ep. 16: fronts to big, downscale to \fs40, missing black backgrounds
ep. 17: fronts to big, no black backgrounds, ep. title shadow intersect with title self,
cellphone fronts to big, downscale to \fs40, \pos of the cellphone texts is off.
size of cellphone backgrounds to small increase with 20 extra.
ep. 18: didn’t lokked further after i saw there no styles installed and resolution sample way off, simply everything.
ep. 19: dummy video in script, missing black backgrounds, minor details.
