Great episode!! Would you guys consider subbing this ova? Its been out for more than six months but no group has picked it up. http://myanimelist.net/anime/14889/Ebiten:_Kouritsu_Ebisugawa_Koukou_Tenmonbu_OVA

    I am disappoint now

Please, please, don’t use ‘unpopulass’ in the future, it’s awful. Just Unpopular Girl is fine, or simply use Mojo since the meaning is expained in episode 1 anyway.

      …?

Unpopular girl is a horrible translation because it’s not a portmanteau like the original. And since when have we ever left a word untranslated?

      • Gippo says:

‘Unpopulass’ isn’t really a translation, it’s not a real English slang term, it’s just confusing. I really appreciate your efforts to translate everything into English, but in this case I think inventing a word makes for a very unnatural translation. “Unpopular Girl” isn’t a technically good translation but it gets the meaning across in perfectly clear English, unlike Upopulass which doesn’t exist as a word.

You say that like mojo exists in Japanese. They’re both made-up words. And I don’t see how it’s confusing.

          • Gippo says:

So why not just use mojo?

              Are you new here?

              • Gippo says:

Like I said, I really appreciate your efforts to translate all foreign words, it’s just that it doesn’t positively need to be a portmanteau like the original Japanese. Unpopular girl and unpopulass mean the same thing, except one sounds very unnatural and odd. Actually another translation I saw used ‘miss-fit’ which I thought was quite clever.

In any case, this is just a nitpick, kudos on the good work otherwise!

                  I disagree.
