    About time.

  2. RoflCat says:

    Holy hell that title length.

I know it’s English + Japanese, but still.

Also, time to find an hour where my laugh won’t be disturbing other people.

  3. fgsfds says:

I swear these LN titles are getting longer.

  4. GeassGx says:

Wish it was Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Come wo Zenryoku de Jyama Shiteiru but this is still good, thanks for the release

  5. TVmine says:

That name got to love it.

But have found it does cause problems with some downloads, due to it length if buried within sub dir’s.

  6. Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru My Girlfriend and Childhood Friend Fight Too Much lover says:

Now this looks like I show I think I would enjoy.

Now, I know many in the anime and manga fan communities (at least from what I’ve seen here in the west) are, to put it lightly, not very fond of overly long titles, claiming that having the premise more or less spelled out in the title is lazy and, alternately or sometimes in conjunction with the first argument, ruin the surprise factor if one were to pick up a show on a whim with no prior knowledge of the series.

However, this is not so. In a world where the medium, or any entertainment medium, is rapidly gaining popularity, it is not uncommon as an author to face a situation in which the name you thought up for your newly-created piece of art has already been claimed, possibly trademarked or similar.
Thus, as more and more entertainment media is produced, the amount of available names with short, simple titles diminishes rapidly, and the authors, pressured by deadlines imposed on them by the money-blinded publishers in the industry, are forced to choose a name on the spot, as they are otherwise too busy writing or drawing to spend more time than neccessary to challenge the odds of choosing a simple name. Especially in Japan where the stereotype of the starving artist rings truer than ever, a title like this one allows the artist to spend more time refining the artwork, resulting in a better product than otherwise would have been.

After all, the content is infinitely more important to how a piece of art should be judged on its qualities than the title.

It’s still annoying as shit, though.

    • Powerswag-kun says:

tl;dr: don’t judge a plot by its title

    • VXAce says:

I actually read your comment, was gonna watch the show anyways.

    • Casey M. says:

You may be partially right, but it’s still uncreative.

It’s funny when one or two shows do it, but when a dozen or more start it into a trend? Loses any sense of “title irony.”

As Shakespeare would say, “brevity is the soul of wit” – a short title with clever wordplay is wholly better than a title which literally spells out the synopsis.

  7. Sammy the Squirrel says:

    WHERE DA COPELLION @?!

  8. Malific says:

How the HELL did she hide those… MONSTERS?

  9. IamMe says:

146 charactesrs for the name including the .mkv. Thats going to cause some problems.

Guess you could not call it Yuushibu like some other places, although I might end up having to rename all of them in order to be able to store them. Name is going to make the path too long for some systems.

  10. Casey M. says:

    DAT TITLE LENGTH.

It’s getting to the point where the titles are going to start taking up more filesize than the video itself. >_<

That's not your guys' fault of course. But dear god, those authors need to stop using plot synopses as titles.

That post "now with 100% less v2" gave me a good chuckle. Thanks, Commie.

  11. electronicbrainpancke says:

Disappointed that kyojin @ 01:11 wasn’t translated as eoten.

I stuck with Commie for a reason, dammit.

  12. Wolfie says:

did all you guys miss that the author of Kino’s Journey started a new LN called “You’re The Most Popular Light Novel Author At The All Boys High School, But You’re Being Strangled By Your Junior Who Is Also A Voice Actor?”

Now there’s a name for you.

  13. Altilier says:

  14. qqq says:

Are you going to release 3 in a reasonable time?

  15. pantsu says:

I’m excited to see how you’ll abbreviate this one in the future.
