What is this I don’t even…

I was visiting your site earlier to see when Asobi ni Iku Yo was releasing (FIVE DAYS LATE WHAT KIND OF FUCKING SIMULCASTING IS THAT?!?) and I couldn’t help but see this.

Hey guys,

Sup.

Because CR works officially with anime studios and tv broadcasters in Japan, we have the best quality video sources.

No, I’m sorry, you don’t. Idiots. Even if you had access to the best quality source, your encoder sucks. The process of making any video streamworthy nukes the quality. Thus what your users get is a watered down piece of shit. Some people like to take their video seriously.

But high quality videos are big and expensive to stream, so they are normally reserved for premium members.

Your “720p” upscaled video’s filesize is usually 1.5x bigger than the 480p. Oh wow, that’s not even twice as big. Expensive my ass.

I realized that most of you guys haven’t even experienced our shows in glorious 720p, so I’ve made some special arrangements =D. This weekend only, everyone can watch our shows in 480p and 720p video quality for free! Of course you need a fast computer and good internet connection to stream, but I think you’ll all be very happy with the results.

MY_FACE.BMP

Just make sure to login (if you don’t have an free account, you can create one here). Then you can watch all our shows in 480p and up to 720p when available~!

I’LL BE SURE TO SIGN RIGHT UP AND GIVE MORE MONEY TO YOU PEOPLE.

Let me know what you think about the higher quality, and I hope it will not only brighten your weekend, but convince you to support Crunchyroll and the Anime companies even more by becoming a Premium Member afterwards~!

It doesn’t take over a shitload of money to run a streaming operation. Look at Horriblesubs. CR is just pulling money out of wallets of people that don’t know any better.

Have a great weekend n_n.

Thanks, I will.

Idiot.

So…yeah. Asobi ni Iku Yo delayed 5 days unless someone wants to translate for us.

Why the correct acronym is HSOTD and not HOTD.

HSOTD- High School of the Dead

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_school

As you can see, Wikipedia obviously states the correct usage to be “High school”. In fact, if you Ctrl+F that entire article, the only occurrence of “Highschool” is under the Mexico section. Stupid Mexicans and Japanese. No wonder Bleach is full of spanish.

Also because HOTD already stands for Helm of the Dominator.

This badass piece of headgear gives +10 damage, +5 armor and 15% lifesteal. It might be fucking useful for taking out zombies, but it sure ain’t no anime.

In hindsight, we probably should have named Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin,

Occult Acadimy

Dear The Anime Network

You’re doing it wrong.
Just outsource your distribution to CrunchyRoll.

Thanks.

DDL Faggotry

Our friends (haha) at Ryuumaru found some site that seems to have DDLs for everything that’s posted on TT, so check it out (I guess):
