Why are you guys even doing this? I understand some of the more popular shows have multiple sub groups but Doremi and Aesir have been doing Precure for years now.
Forcing “crab” into the lines, for one. I’m sure you thought it was funny but it was really just stupid and unnecessary. And really, “Who the punk are you”? That doesn’t even make sense. It’s a shame too, because the subs were decent when you weren’t trying to be clever and failing.
Perhaps change it so special children can understand it.
Like, “Here’s a list of shows that we seed for you, leechers.”

Seconded. HeartCatch was amazing. The planets must have aligned that season. The first Precure and Smile were decent also. The rest, not so much. Suite & Fresh were especially shitty.
I don’t agree with that opinion. I liked both Fresh (except for Deiski spic) and Suite (best theme song of the Precure series IMHO), and I disliked HeartCatch (for the most part). The first couple of Precure series were quite repetitive when it came to the spawned enemy creatures and transformation sequences, but they had their positives too (and given when they were made it was pretty decent for the time).
Back to the topic of this thread: I enjoyed Commie’s sub of this first episode of Doki Doki Precure. Funny lines to go with a funny episode.

I think Fresh, Suite, and Splash Star are good ones to start getting into Precure with. (And not as episode-intensive as FwPC and Yes! with their sequels.) I’m not surprised that no one has mentioned how great of a season Splash Star is – it’s really underrated. It starts slow, but once it picks up, it gets better and better.
Commie complains about Doremi subs which they do well, yet Commie is confirmed for Troll subs on Doki Doki and you don’t even offer an AVI or MP4 encode.

Do you ever stop and think for a moment about what the word “trollsubs” mean? A trollsub is supposed to troll people, to be so ridiculous and random for the sole purpose of pissing people off. Tossing in two or three unfunny yet remotely fitting puns into an otherwise accurate script does not a trollsub make, and I can even make an argument for the presence of the punk line. Trollsubbing would be something like translating the “Hey punk”/”You punk” exchange between Nikaido and the other dude as something like “Nigger nig nig”, which would be ridiculous and out of place (though it would better resemble the dialogue style of those lines than what I put), or maybe translating the crab’s line after Mana’s failed transformation as “Kamen Rider is shit!” (which would be inaccurate, and kill the joke). Having some puns in a script doesn’t make a show a trollsub. It’s a children’s show, lighten up.
I actually just realized this after 3 weeks… You guys are doing this year’s Precure?! Made me want to try watching after the my interest rocketed down with Suite and Smile. Is it really DAD GUUD though?
if i knew from the start you guys were adding puns in this show i would have just followed you guys from the start. now to replace doremi’s release with yours. also card captor, sailor moon, and nanoha are best magical girl shows i’ve seen. madoka sucked just like uta kata.
