Ore, Twintail ni Narimasu. BDs Volume 3

720p | 1080p

Quite a lot was updated this volume, animation-wise. And that’s just a random selection of stuff I saw in episode 6.

So they kinda delivered a half baked TV version, and then they delivered the fully baked version on the BluRay?

Must have found the budget to do so…

Anime looking like shit is almost always about time and scheduling and not about budget. And obviously they have lots of time between when something airs and when it’s released on BD to fix it up.

P.S. You should watch Shirobako to see this in action.

Was Shiroboring some kind of documentary or what?

        • herkz says:

Kind of. It’s a pretty realistic take at how anime are made. Spoilers: budget is not mentioned when they’re falling behind on their schedule.

herkz fighting the good fight against the evil ‘budget’ misconception.

Also, I think I heard somewhere (#sakuga)that studios usually do BD corrections while the show is still airing, so they don’t have *that* much time to fix stuff up, especially if the schedule was super screwed in the first place.

Is it just me or is the diffpics thing not working now? It was working on my tablet’s Chrome but now IE and Chrome on my desktop say “Uncaught exception: _ ” when it tries to load the view.js file…

Deng, ’em comparisons.. It’s like comparing Chinese counterfeit figures with legit Japanese figures.

  4. Coburn says:

Wow, interesting. Now that the Diff.Pics thing wants to work now, looks like the characters went back under the pen and came out even better.

Might give this a rewatch based on the improvements.

I am so fucking happy that I didn’t see past the third episode of this when it was airing. This just reinforces my belief of “TV is shit, BD is life”
